June 1, 2011 - Bright red fruit, intense, funk, forest floor, mushroom, smoke, bit light on mid-palate, tad bitter on finish

April 26, 2009 - Strawberry on the nose and mid-palate with a slightly earthy finish. Still very fruity for a 2003.

    August 26, 2008 - WIML89,PURPLE89

    Tasted August 26, 2008.

13.4% alcohol. Bottled under fake cork (yuk). Opened and served immediately. Dusty rose color in the glass. Lovely perfumed nose with notes of berries, raspberries and cherries. Delicate palate of berries, raspberries and cherries. Medium acidity, fully resolved tannins, medium body. Drink now and I mean it.

May 18, 2008 - a fine exemplar of the oregon/no.cal pinot: nose mixes red fruits and clove with a welcome hint of animal funk; on the palate the wine is velvelty, rich, but reasonably well balanced if lacking in real complexity and perhaps a bit too predictable. still, a great buy at $18. could go head to head with the north of $60 bottle from Littorai i drank two nights ago . . . . also, throws a lot of sediment--should be decanted before drinking.

October 1, 2007 - A wonderful wine, great spice on the nose, a soft funkiness that was enhanced by the mushroom risotto. I did not read the small print on this bottle, unfiltered and no fining's, I basically popped and poured and it was cloudy but no chunks, it did no affect the taste.
