Had a lovely wine recently that knocked me ole socks off b'ye! The Thirty Bench Riesling hails from Beamsville Bench in Ontario and is a tremendous example of how good Canadian white wine can be.
The nose on this wine was all key lime, green apples and butane. The alc...ohol came across powerfully on the palate giving the wine a tight, extra crisp and clean mouth-feel. Lots of citrus, ripe green apples and pleasing acidity in this wine. It totally was thirst quenching and really easy to drink. This wine was given 90 points by Wine Access and they were bang on the money...this is one of the finest Rieslings in all of Canada. And, best of all, this package comes for less than 20.00 a bottle...if you can find one. (wink)
