Community Tasting Notes 10

October 4, 2011 - Twist and pour ... Classic, Pinot barnyard funk on the nose and the palate. Smooth, with a bit of an edge. Not terrible, but tastes a tad manipulated, which I find off-putting. Wouldn't buy again.

January 12, 2011 - True varietal character. Great buy.

April 16, 2010 - clear ruby; typical NZ PN nose with red cherries, strawberries and plums with floral and green pepper undertone; medium bodied; a little bit hot but very very smooth tannin, fruity palate, a very nice PN for everyday drinking

November 1, 2009 - Clean and smooth Pinot Noir. Medium-bodied and great multi-tasker. Except for a bit too much sweetness, drinks like a much more expensive bottle.

September 3, 2009 - Highly acidic at the start with typical Pinot flavors, but slightly sweeter. Black cherry, plum, light oak, leather, chocolate and spice. Overall, it's not too impressive for a New Zealand Pinot Noir since I've had better in that area for $14, but Momo is a good buy if found cheaper than the standard $20 price tag.

    Total acidity 6.0 g/liter
    pH 3.66
    Alcohol 14.0%
