October 26, 2023 - Opened as part of a Montrachet wine tasting event. Took a while to blow off some funk but it held its own and continued to hold for over 4 hours of the event with lovely caramel notes on the nose and a harmonised palate. Solid wine that gives great pleasure but perhaps lacks a little of the true excitement of top-Montrachet. Drink up as it won't improve from here.

September 11, 2022 - 200 Burgundy Grand Crus from vintage 2000, 4-day blind tasting (Singapore): Not much better than the Chevalier next to it. Nose of apple cider, intermixed with pop corn, classic palate but with way too much ripe pine apple notes.

May 18, 2020 - Medium gold color. Ripe citrus fruits, apricot, some flinty minerals, well subtle toast and vanilla notes, nutty with hint of honey. Rich and round mouthfeel but could use more acidity and taste a bit bitter like citrus peel. Should be able to hold up for at least a few more years.

April 2, 2020 - Clearly that previous bottle was corked/an anomaly. Just pulled the cork on my second-last bottle of this, and it's back to its stunning glory. Still surprisingly pale straw (given age), amazing bouquet of apples, pears, citrus, butter, butterscotch. So soft and delicate on the palate, yet with an acidity that just reminds one of its youth almost 20 years ago. Love it !

December 24, 2019 - Have to agree with Kemo Sabe - July 20 2018. Sadly this has “fallen off a cliff” in the last 2 years, and is now well and truly over the hill. All the rich fruit and delicate acidity is now overwhelmed by an almost sherry-like bouquet and stewed palate. How the mighty has fallen ! Most disappointing for a Burgundy of this stature.
