January 27, 2018 - Sehr schönes, dichtes Rubin. Druckvolle, explosive Nase nach Weichsel und Veilchen. Am Gaumen vollmundig, samtig, umwerfend. Hätte nie gedacht, dass dies 2003 ist, ein superschönes Säurerückgrat, immernoch forsche Tannine, gepaart mit opulenter Frichtdichte. Wieder Weicksel aber auch Schwarzkirschenaromen, Blut, etwas Marzipan im Finale. Endet etwas kurz und säurelastig, das wäre das Makel, das ich hier ausfindig machen kann.

February 14, 2016 - Needed some time to unwind in the decanter. Heavy tannins on the finish. Big bold dark red fruit in the glass with some spicy dried vegetation. There are definite complexities in its character to unravel over time. It really brought out the black pepper and cherry accents in our meal.

May 22, 2015 - Poured out glasses to breathe around an hour before serving. Beautiful dark ruby red. The nose showed some oaky notes, but also classic Nebbiolo cloves, cherries & rose petals. Full bodied with an entry odd dark red fruit accented with some oaky mocha notes & spicy clove. Classy & plush yet showing big tannins which added some excellent depth to my meal of lamb chops & polenta. Very good showing.
