August 20, 2011 - Copper-orange colored; nose of metallic copper, apricot, hint of orange; palate shows moderated sweetness, great acidic balance, orange peels at front, midpalate has copper and saffron, overall has good fruit still remaining; finish of clean fruit, tingly acidity, and some minerality. Excellent, very solid perfectly aged sauternes. My last bottle, and a great end to a lovely evening. 92.
Day 3: Lots more caramel toffee on the palate, still delicious and holding up well. Excellent.

April 9, 2011 - Full bottle bought from K&L from a private collection. Medium amber color; nose shows some good baked fruit and orange peel; palate shows great initial burst of flavor/orange peels along with some honey and some iron/metal, moderate sweetness on the palate, transitioning to a burst of mouthwatering acidity on the mid-late palate; finish is nice but quite short. Overall excellent and drinking very well now.

(Chateau Doisy Vedrines Sauternes) COLOR-medium amber; TASTE-very youthful; some viscosity on the back-end (little gasoline / oil which I love); apricots and peaches for days; very round; I LOVE the caramel/peachy/ apple flavors; the acidity is perfect; the balance is excellent; shockingly fresh for a 40 year old bottle; incredible; gorgeous; GV-95
