Community Tasting Notes 4

October 3, 2010 - A nose of raisin and spice, dark black in color. A wine that I enjoyed six months ago, now well past it’s prime, had that turned bad taste.

May 14, 2009 - This red blend has a dark-red (almost chestnut-like) color and displays aromas of ripe fruits, some vanilla, and spice (cinnamon?). Flavors are mostly dark berries but also contain some plum. Although the tannins are quite soft, the wine feels somewhat chewy but the finish is a little shorter than I expected. Overall, this is a great value for a very good table wine.

March 31, 2009 - Very sweet without being over the top extracted. Savory flavors & lots of fruit on the mid palat. Savory finish goes to a lasting dry. Medium weight and red color. Nice nose, no off notes. Held up well when re-corked on my counter for 4 days.

    January 9, 2009 - very nice cellar guard/weekday drinker
