  October 26, 2013 - well made and tannins are totally resolved. interesting secondary notes but no real "zin-fruit" present at all. a different style (which is by the wine makers design)--but not really for my palate. When I drink zins--I like a big jammy/briary hit-this was almost like a super-aged low to mid-tier cali cab (leather, tar, earthy, etc)

  December 26, 2011 - Moderately fruit foward and alccohol. Some oak characteristics. Red fruit. This bottle was starting to show it's age and had a bit of oxidation. Will be drinking in the near term.

  September 25, 2011 - Improving. This wine has nice complexity and hits all the notes you want from a zin without being over the top fruit or heat wise. Definitely in the Caymus style.
