Community Tasting Notes 5

February 20, 2021 - Drunk next to the 2001 Oriu. Still that menthol touch but that 04 shows more floral and red fruits profile compared to the dark fruits profile of the '01.
Surprisingly elegant with an almost velvety texture. Tannins are present but quite integrated.
    Really good.

June 8, 2013 - Art its Best. Enjoyed with my friend Didi
    Round, not to short

May 18, 2012 - App: pale brick red
Aroma: warm ripe raspberries, blackberries, loads of minerals and a touch of nettle and liqourice
Medium bodied and great balance. Smooth nice palate that ends with a tannic bite.
    Good length

My best (I have to admit, of few) Corsican wine up to this point

November 24, 2011 - Monthly Tasting Group LTB 2011-10; France; Corse (by EvA): Very tertiary bouquet with a lot of barnyard and organic flavors. Concentrated and a lot of chocolate, but overall too old and even unpleasant. No score.

August 15, 2010 - Corsican wines and Sausage: 80% Niellucciu and 20% Sciaccarellu. Fermentation is done with indigenous yeast and follows with a soaking from 15 to 21 days between 26 and 30°C with a finishing on “marcs”. The blend is aged in concrete tanks for 18 months, then at least two years in bottles.
Brickish rim, masculine wine. Darker profile. Gamy nose.
Slightly stewed fruit but enough acidity. Needs food. Long meaty finish.
Overall a very good rustic wine which needs some air. Taste a little older than its 6 years.
