January 30, 2016 - Attractive ruby colour, with blackberry and redcurrant aromas. Silky smooth and soft on the palate. Delicious, subtle berry and orange flavours with vanilla and slightly peppery undertones. Very pleasant.

    October 4, 2014 - Excellent. 13.5% alc. special
    Colour: dark ruby berry
Bouquet: gorgeous gentle plum and orange fruit dark cherries, cedar, dusty earth, vanilla and spice, mineral, touch of cocoa
Palate: as bouquet, silky smooth soft tannins, incredible balance and subtlety, texture, dark chocolate, herbal, long finish. Very soft but full flavoured.

October 11, 2012 - Deep ruby colour, with legs suggesting higher alcohol than it had (only 13%). Good nose - with barnyard overtones. Merlot scents poked through. Tannin and acidity high, but not unbalanced - the wine could have aged several more years

January 31, 2010 - Dinner with the Chiams (Asia Grand, Odeon Towers): A real surprise - this is a Chateau I have never heard of before, let alone tasted. Apparently owned by the same people who run La Conseillante and with vineyards bordered by Pavie and La Gaffeliere, this was a really nice bottle. Lovely nose, very lifted, with flowers, cherries, red-currants, plums mineral and a little layer of dusky earth, all sprinkled with a touch of cocoa. Palate had a real freshness and zip to it. Not the most powerful of 2005 wines, but there was more than enough sappiness and bright red cherry fruit to go around. Tannins were firm, as would be expected, but far from undrinkable after a 2 hour decant. Finish was decent too - clean, balanced and fresh. Not a blockbuster for sure, but a charming, balanced and extremely food friendly wine.
