July 9, 2009 - Very nice, soft, and flavorful. Drank a few days ago, so my notes are limited, but very much liked the wine. Seemed like a good southern rhone syrah.

March 19, 2009 - A: Purple Welches, bright and young.
N: Dominant pine and ash. Some minerality. Juniper berries not a lot of fruit on the noise. Some sourness
T: Very earthy, bitter with an underlying sweetness. Up front sour then mellows out. Dirt and herbal.
F: Long. Acidic but not a tanic wine.
Overall: Hits the tongue differently one each sip. Characteristic of an earthy African wine (Pinotage). Complex and does not taste like a traditional Syrah. Very fun!
