December 18, 2023 - drank more than 1½ hours after opening. Very fragrant with woodsy notes, and sweeter on the palate.

October 29, 2022 - Gorgeous perfumed nose, then smooth and silky with plenty of fruit remaining. Best after a few hours of air. This was fully mature, but it has evolved very gracefully and probably has another few years at this level. A lot of folks seem to be drinking these H Blocks way too early.

August 20, 2022 - The last of 6 and absolutely the best. In fact, a huge upside surprise. The color is still an incredibly deep garnet. The nose is absolutely loaded with mature cassis fruit and mocha. Oh so inviting. Not hugely complex, but so pure. The palate is pure velvet. The cassis fruit again announces its presence. Sweet and mature but not overly so. This is spot on. It lingers nicely. This is a serious, mature Cabernet. I hated this wine when it was young. Glad I held on to some. This is the last bottle and mark me as a huge miss early in its life. (94)

November 28, 2020 - Not the most distinctive nose right when it’s opened—the merlot is most immediately evident—but as it opens up, a really nice, not overly crazy cab franc comes through. As others said nice purple fruit/berries on the palette. Has a lot of life! Drank w fam minus Mikey in Miami.

December 21, 2017 - minty, with ripe fruit and almost coconut butter and vanilla oak. A little smoky after 2 hours.
