  December 18, 2011 - very standard example of the style, oak, vanilla, a little citrus, smooth and buttery, totally unoffensive and good value, never going to be confused with its expensive Napa cousins, but held up well

  April 16, 2009 - Toasty oaky notes to the wine. I like the big rich body. Shows off Santa Lucia Character -- rich full fruit that borders on asparagus notes (which I don't mind at all). Or big pineapple and payaya if you prefer (which stems from Wente clone I am told). This is a mixture of Chalone clone (citrus, mineral acid) and 76 Dijon Clone (high in minearl and aromatics) where 96 Dijon is big viscious and fat. Very much shows Santa Lucia but with great acidity throughout the palate.

  September 15, 2008 - Medium color with very mild aromas. Medium nectar with bright, crisp acidity cascading into a lemony jolly rancher essence with some kiwi and melon. Light on the butter with a bright and lingering finish.
