  June 7, 2010 - Quite good. Sour cherries, plum, licorice, firm tannin and bright acidity. Surprisingly fresh and lively given its grip. Very enjoyable. Day 2: It fell apart a little, took on a bitter note and lost some of its freshness. Still a good daily drinker.

  November 13, 2009 - Surprisingly tannic (for this type of wine) but soft and full of dark and red fruit with earthy flavors on the palate. Good balance.
  Excellent with pizza or other dishes with tomato sauce. Drink now with decant or keep for one or two years.

  September 15, 2008 - Fall Bachanalia (Green Dolphin St, Chicago IL): nose: nice soft nose of cherries and spice with a bit of earthen tones lying underneath
  
  taste: mouth puckering tannins with great silky feel providing tones of cherries, spice, and earthen notes
  
  overall: Even with the big tannins, this one comes alive on the palate and the flavors are well balanced and well defined with a rich cherry attack and earthen finish
