July 9, 2022 - Over the top now but has developed some interesting port notes and dark plum flavors. not bad for an inexpensive wine.

April 1, 2021 - This is an above average American cab, but not , much more. It has the wood the fruit and some length but not wow. Good effort at decent price.

October 5, 2017 - The wine - at 11 years of age - still has a purple rim and shows no signs of the color turning to a regular red. For me, this is proof that the color has been tampered with, using enzymes to bring out, and stabilize, that purple color many people seem to care about....
On the nose it shows opulent, sweet berry fruit with some rose petals and violets.
On the palate it is noticeable sweet with lots of astringency. Tannins are definitively not integrated. Will they ever be or will they eat up the fruit?
Overall the wine has not found its balance. I am afraid, this is another "New World style" wine that is not giving me any pleasure...

January 10, 2017 - Complex, red fruits, soft tanins

December 22, 2016 - A good enough Cab that's keeps a couple of wheels on the road and compensates well with oak. A sweet but still-traditional bouquet leads to nice bright fruit augmented by floral pepper, graphite, and toasty notes. No improvement expected. Drink -2018.
