September 21, 2016 - Wonderful stuff. We had this over the course of an evening and the wine held up all night. Wish we had a whole bunch more of this. Some initial fruit and then a forest floor and earthiness to it that is wonderful. Ignore the drinking window as this has several years left on it.

August 21, 2015 - I enjoyed this with the August Birthday Club at Arterra. This was so wonderful again. It is very full bodied yet still elegant and graceful. How I wish bottles of this filled my cellar.

February 6, 2015 - Immediately recognizable as an old Italian wine, simply from the deep aromas of spicey earth. This took two hours to open up and is nowhere close to its peak. Cigar box, dark fruits, earth and Italian funk flavors. This wine is awesome. I wish I had a case, no wait.....if I had a case, we would probably drink it all this weekend! I had no idea what I was buying on the auction site, but what a great find!

April 7, 2010 - An exceptionally vigorous and full bodied wine, way above my expectations. Very deep red, red berries on the nose, velvety, smooth, very long.

May 26, 2008 - A classy bottle of wine drinking at its peak now. Still maintaining a nice core of fruit, but an earthy, cigar box secondary complexity is in full swing. Very enjoyable.
