  September 25, 2015 - these previous notes are pretty worthless. all bad bottles? seems unlikely. it was likely backward and not giving fruit back in 07.
  
  this is not tart; it's a cocoa bomb and fairly delightful although a bit simple. my bottle was found upright in a junk liquor store and for $15 i think it's a steal.
  
  tip for imported wine: drink immediately, or hold 10+ years, let it sort itself out. 5 years in = making a fool of yourself on CT and wasting a bottle to boot.

  October 11, 2007 - Nice aroma of cocoa. Very light and a bit tart. Supposedly being past it's age....still was a decent bottle to drink. I'd rather spend the money on something else next time, but it wasn't a bad experience.

  September 10, 2007 - Cost $17. The closure is artificial. Decanted but little time to breathe. The colour is translucent, relatively bright red. Just slightly past its apogee, with a little tartness that seems out of place, but still drinkable. Abv 13%. Imbotigliato da S.P.A. www.ricasoli.it. Low qpr. Good (81.5).
