November 5, 2023 - Had this with a pecan bourbon cheesecake, both were awesome. Much of the same tasting notes others have mentioned are still present with maybe a bit of cherry cordial on the finish. Our bottle was a 375 ML, which was perfect for 4 people and likely helped with the aging.

April 6, 2019 - A very decent Sauternes from a mediocre vintage. Not overly sweet with notes of peach and pear with a slight minerality. There are hints of vanilla. Mild acidity. It is delightful even without a long finish. Beautiful color. Paid $35.

January 20, 2018 - St. Vincent (Indianapolis): Very nice - mature quince and apricot fruit drizzled with orange marmalade and honey flavours. A touch challenging to drink after the sheer intensity of the Yquem - this comes across relatively light and almost a touch simple in contrast, though it does feel fresher and more lively with a bit more acidity.

    February 5, 2017 - 14,5% alcohol.

Deep, developed burnished golden color. Very attractive, sweet-toned and wonderfully complex nose with developed aromas of dried pineapple, roasted hazelnuts, some waxy and slightly buttery tones, a little bit of peach marmalade, light coconut character and a Tawny Port-like hint of syrupy oxidation. The wine is full-bodied and quite oily on the palate, yet remarkably fresh and harmonious at the same time, thanks to the moderately high acidity. There are captivating, mature flavors of dried pineapple and wizened apricots, fruit salad syrup, some developed creamy tones, a little bit of browned butter, light mushroomy and slightly spicy notes of botrytis and oxidative hints of nuttiness and peanut butter. The finish is very lengthy, complex and quite powerful awith rather sweet flavors of acacia honey, orange marmalade, some Werther's Original caramel tones, a little bit of saffron-driven exotic spice, light buttery tones and oxidative hints of hazelnuts and maple syrup. The taste seems to turn slightly drier towards the end of the aftertaste.

A beautifully developed and enormously complex Sauternes that is drinking fantastically well right now, but still I doubt the wine is at its plateau of maturity; there is still room for some further development. Overall the wine shows outstanding balance between the body, the sweetness, the acidity and the complex flavors. A fantastic wine.

June 7, 2015 - Consumed by non wine-drinking 20-something's and a couple of barely 30's for a birthday party. Coerced notes from them: "Swedish fish"(I don't know what these are, but according to the group it's a type of gummy candy.) Most of them tasted that at first, but with encouragement I got the following. Caramel, hazel nuts, savory meat, delicate, very smooth Scotch. One taster noted that he liked the way it just dissolved in the mouth. So, there you go, notes by people with no preconceptions. Personally, I liked it a lot and got hazelnuts, marshmallows and just a touch of heat. Great pairing with strawberry birthday cake. Thanks for sharing baby. We'll have that 85 Bordeaux soon, it would have been wasted on this group!
