November 19, 2012 - Nice pinot. Did not pair well with our salmon. Smooth on finish but a little light.

April 9, 2012 - Bought this in a 375, with a screw cap. Think it held together pretty well. Probably has been in the bottle about 3.5 years, and with a screw cap, doesn't matter if it sits upright. Has true Pinot character. It is pretty easy to identify the Santa Maria flavor influence mingling with the Russian River fruit. This is not a big wine, but it is relatively complete, maybe coming apart a little toward the finish. The color is perfect Pinot, possibly a little more opaque than most. The nose is soft blackberry, fresh plowed earth, and some oak. Nice spicy entry on the palate, extending to black cherry and some graphite. Does not explode with fruit, don't think it did when it was younger either. I think it went through a minor filtration. The tannins are still evident, and helping bring some structure to the mouth feel and coating the palate on the finish. The finish is pretty dry, the fruit falls off a bit, but still a decent effort for the money.

March 26, 2012 - This one seems to be evolving a bit. Much more fruit is evident on the nose and a little richer mouth feel than previous tastings. Medium finish. Very good. Good QPR as well.

November 27, 2010 - More pinot characteristics this time, better, but no blockbuster.

November 25, 2010 - basic but nice pinot that served its purpose well to have with a myriad of food of a thanksgiving meal. red pinot aromas with nice juicy acidity and smooth texture. not complex nor showing of any real terroir, but i wasn't expecting that. good for its price point.
