Cherry pits
Taste: cinnamon, dark chocolate, red raspberries leading to rich dark earth that lasts for a very long time.

November 15, 2009 - Agree with many of the other reviews here that this is an excellent QPR- a well balanced wine with sufficient acidity to make it food friendly, while a black cherry fruit component makes it a good quaffer for any ocassion. In addition to the blk cherry nose and flavors, it has Rhonish hints of garrigue, black pepper, offset by a new world-y cocoa component.
