June 1, 2022 - (Mostly) Burgundy Dinner with Friends (Formento's - Chicago IL): Still amazingly fresh, this has so much bright black cherry and berry throughout with excellent balance and depth, nicely supported with braised meat and faint liqueur. Lots here, all perfectly harmonious. No hurry to drink up.

April 13, 2020 - Wild berries, musk, animal and feral. Quintessial Gevrey. Lots of underlying power especially for a prem cru. Good balance between fruit and acidity. Across the board from this prem cru to his Griotte in the 98 village has been consistently great. While the 95 prem cru is about elegance , the 98 prem cru is about power. 92+

November 13, 2018 - Open an hour+ before serving. Mature black cherry and plum with braised meat, earth and slightly sweet spice with an exotic touch. Good depth and length, this stayed persistent and alluring over the course of several hours in glass.

May 14, 2016 - Burgundy Dinner with Friends (Brindille - Chicago IL): Closed and austere to start, this was decanted and kept opening up and improving over the next hour+. Black fruit cross-section with sauvage and earth. Tannins a bit firm to start, then more elegant by the end.

July 22, 2014 - Lots of fresh black cherries and berries with good power and savory spice. Not quite as exciting as the last few bottles from the same case, this bottle seemed to display a bit more pronounced new oak.
