  October 20, 2017 - 1997 Amarone Horisontal + Quintarelli (Copenhagen): Still has a compact cherry fruit but also some sewer and other mature flavors.
  Very juicy and drinkable but also still quite dense. The alcohol does seem to dominate just a little bit.

  May 11, 2017 - BYO (Enomania): Impressive and consistent with previous notes. Dense fruit but perhaps a little to much alcohol which disjoints the overall balance of the wine.

  June 30, 2009 - Tuesday night dinner with friends (my place): Nose is packed with sweetness and blackberries. Also hints of coffee, dark plum and a lot of chocolate. The alcohol is also quite powerful in the nose.
  Still very young flavour-wise with ripe dark plums, prunes and dark chocolate but also with somy meaty flavours.
  The acidity is nice and balances the flavours sufficiently. However the alcohol is a little powerful in the end. Lots of life left.

  June 30, 2009 - Tuesday dinner with friends (Canan's place): Dark red color. Ripe, decadent black cherries and licorice on the nose which has good intensity. Juicy and full-bodied taste with dark fruit, a touch of cherry liqueur, dark chocolate, prunes and licorice. Good length and refreshing acidity. Somewhat hot on the finish. Drinking very well and perfectly mature now.
