July 5, 2019 - Fully mature, a bit thin but still nice aromas as a classic old clairet. Drink up but still thumb up

August 16, 2013 - Appearance: Bright and clear, this wine is of deep ruby color, with garnet rims and legs.
Nose: Clean, the nose shows medium intensity aromas of black fruit such as blackcurrant and blackberry, maturity notes of savory and tobacco, animal notes of meaty, MLF notes of cream, oak notes of cedar, kernel notes of chocolate. The wine is developing.
Palate: Dry, it has medium acidity and medium (+) tannin of ripe and velvety texture. The alcohol level is medium, with a medium (+) body, showing medium intensity flavors of black fruit such as blackberry and black cherry, oak notes of smoke and cedar, maturity notes of tobacco, sweet spice of cinnamon, kernel notes of chocolate. The wine has a medium finish.
Conclusion: Good quality Haut-Medoc with a ripe black fruit characters balancing well with other aromas, providing an overall fairly complex and reasonably intense nose. The wine has a firm structure, with good acidity and tannin on the palate, having sufficient concentration and reasonable complexity. The length is a bit disappointing but still on a reasonable level. Overall a wine of good value for money, it is ready to drink now though can benefit from further ageing of another 4-6 years.

    May 1, 2013 - Ok Haut-Médoc. Table wine.

October 18, 2010 - A wine from Lynch Moussas, but predominantly the Haut-Médoc appellation rather than Pauillac. Reserved but what fruit it shows does have that macerated-cherry character. The palate though is fresher than expected, but still quite firm, with lots of slightly chewy tannin.
