March 30, 2011 - Oinofiloi Tasting: Greece v The World. Clear dark garnet, good legs, thin rim. Clean nose where ink jumps out of the glass and smacks me in the face. Minerally nose of ink & graphite followed by oak notes of vanilla & cedar, dried herbs blackberry & liquorice. Medium - intensity and unfortunate alcohol heat. Dry, medium body, tannins & acidity, medium + flavour intensity, medium - length. More fruit on the palate than the nose would suggest. Bit disconnected & some alcohol heat.
