July 28, 2022 - Mostly Giacosa dinner (RPM Italian, Washington D.C.): Premoxed, as expected.

February 13, 2021 - Well, this was consistent with my immediately previous bottle four years ago, and a significant improvement on the dull early bottles. A worryingly full colour, but actually, clean and really very lovely rich, full traditionally-style burgundy. Texture and weight rather than an array of flavours. Went beautifully with a turbot steak and a champagne, cream and caviar sauce. ****

Origine is detectable, but I think a premox problem- Too much extraction and only some lemon notes. Not really defective but not that potential that could be possible. 90?

March 20, 2019 - Big nose that jumps at you, full of butter (slightly rancid at first), nuts, flowers and citrus fruit. The wine evolved a lot over the hour or so it was drunk, going from what we thought might be signs of premox (slightly oxidative) to a full-on, complex white Burg. A fuller, more intense styme of Puligny, not the lean, focused style I normally associate with the appallation.
