January 27, 2018 - Stony nose with lemon and oak. herbal and cool menthol. Palate is salty, lemon and menthol. Others loved this. I thought it was OK. Nose - 5/6, Palate - 4.5/6, Finish - 4.5/6, Je ne Sais Quoi - 1/2 = 15/20.

January 27, 2018 - Alt Rieslingfeier (New York City, NY): This is an absolutely brilliant Corton-Charlemagne. There's still an ample amount of reduction on the nose. The fruit profile is incredibly fleshy, but there is plenty of acidity in this wine to balance that fruit out. Not a wallflower by any stretch of the imagination, this is a very, very robust chardonnay. In fact, this reminds me a little bit of Bonneau de Martray.

March 1, 2016 - This is a follow up from my tasting note from nearly two years ago. I have recently had a few more bottles and they have improved, and are consistently excellent. This is now rich, powerful, brooding with superb mineralogy and length. top class.

June 27, 2014 - Quite young & closed when opened. Decanted, 15 mins later at 15C and its a little muted yet rich, quite a prickly spiciness to this, very Burgundy: lemon, butter, richness, subtlety, herby, quite dense and mouth-coating but it tickles a little. And quite like butterscotch, even Werther's Original (?!) but way more complicated than that. Nice with lemon sole meunière but still subtle. Amazing legs on this, looks so rich.
More subdued than expected but I like this, quite intriguing. Perhaps opened too young... let's see what air does.
Wow - really opens up but in a restrained way with roast poussin.
After at 17C and this feels like a really good, rich, complex Burgundy even though its at red wine temperature!
Still some prickliness but complex and constantly changing.
With brillat savarin cheese: so good!! Rich, some oak for first time, prickly spice again, rich. I am almost feel this needs more time.
Even though it didn't seem oaky until 18C, this is now tastes like a piece of freshly cut wood.
This is so Burgundy. Complex, constantly changing, keeps your interest all night and keeps getting better. So far away from a blousy new world wine.

June 7, 2014 - Quite a pale green-gold in colour, with quite a full and fruity nose with plenty of citrus. On the palate quite a good concentration of peach and apple, with bags of acidity and minerality, perhaps too much for some. I preferred my bottle on the second night, and it tasted much better being served around 18 degrees, on the first night i made the schoolboy error of leaving in the fridge too long. I thought this was ok, not amazing, to be honest hoping for a bit more at this price level. Long finish though, as its still going as i type.
