August 28, 2019 - Another one of these, fully mature, best to drink up!

April 4, 2019 - Eudemis’ note seems to hit all the high points. Would add that this shows a plateau of maturity and drinkability.. Baked ripe apple and a citric pungency on nose and palate.

July 30, 2018 - Medium golden color raised anxiety, but the nose was merely "full term" showing complex mature qualities (very well described by Eudemis in his note below). The combination of classy richness and the adept touch of that Drouhin acidity that I always find in their wines, makes this wine great for drinking now (and not for keeping too much longer!)

June 22, 2018 - Color already advanced but no sign of oxydation at all, quite oaky, with very pleasant smoky, toasty flavour, a very enjoyable bottle

May 20, 2017 - 13.5% alcohol. Very dense cork of standard length. Decanted for 30 mn. Deep colour, just short of gold. The nose is both rich and fresh, with yellow flowers and gorse aromas. The mouth is just marvellous and fulfilling, with a palate coating quality that I very rarely get in dry white wines. The balance is great, with plenty of lift in the finish.
No hint of decline, but I would say that this wine is approaching its peak, and a glorious one it is.
This is worthy of a lobster or your very best shellfish.
In absolute terms this is definitely a repeat purchase, but I must admit that I do not know the market value of this wine as I acquired it on very favourable terms.
When drinking these spot-on 1-er Cru Burgundies, you wonder about the folly of paying much higher prices for Grands Crus.
