December 6, 2020 - Opened to pour into a bolognese and drank the last couple glasses. Speaks loudly of Southern France; smoky, meaty, funky, garrigue, high alcohol. The palate is disjointed and has more tannin than the relatively dried out fruit can support, it's coarse and rustic and wild yet I'm really enjoying stirring this big aromatic pot of meat and sipping this. It's a great experiential match. No cepage listed but seems quite Syrah driven.

February 9, 2020 - A $15 whim from the remainders bin at K&L. Intoxicating plummy nose with spices and earth. Darker than I expected, deep mahogany with an amber rim. On the palate, hoisin and soy sauce, well integrated tannins, and a lingering hint of sweet tobacco. A very pleasant surprise.

May 24, 2016 - Better showing this time. Well integrated. At peak. Drink up....last one for me. The case i bought was a fantastic ride.

January 27, 2016 - This time I felt the wine is disintegrating into odd components: Garrigue (quite OK by me), wet cardboard (well, a bit less OK...), and (new one for me describing ANY bttle) - Islay Scotch (as a comforting factor: Lagavulin 16 YO came to mind).

January 15, 2016 - Mas de Gourgonnier's top cuvee Grenache, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Mourvèdre. At its peak now, but no great hurry. Well made, great value, delicious.
