April 25, 2009 - Hawley has what I consider the best California Viognier and the 2007 sierra foothills is no exception. We made up a dinner of healthy stir-fry, I put in a bit more spice than what it calls for and the viognier is just the cure. Tropical fruit notes with a splash of honey and just enough acid to take to you to the bottom of the bottle with a smile on your face. On the nose is pears with a hint of citrus. Clean and refreshing.
