  December 7, 2006 - Wine Tasting for Wife's Bunco Group (Crysal Lake, IL): Great value from Australian winemaker Ben Riggs. Tons of red/black fruit with subtle tannins. Nice finish. Crowd pleaser.

  August 13, 2006 - Deep purple, almost black in colour. The nose shows dark berries, licorice and a hint of menthol. The palate is full bodied, with hints of dried fruit and oak. Good tannin and lots of acid. Ben Riggs certainly does seem to be able to crank out the good value Aussie reds... If you like this, try "The Black Chook" Shiraz-Viognier.

  August 11, 2006 - July Wine Tasting, 17 wines, Crystal Lake, IL (NW Suburbs Chicago, Crystal Lake, IL): What's not to like about this wine. Great price, great flavor, under $10. Nice lingering finish that provides a touch of cocoa.
