February 27, 2014 - Beautiful black and blue fruit both on the nose and palate. The bouquet has some floral notes, but the aggressive oak treatment is present. This is a big pinot noir, think of a pommard, plenty of earthy tones; however the whiped chocolate notes, think tootsie roll, are dominate at this stage of life. Smokey characteristics with clove like spice, gentle. While drinking great, there is still plenty of fruit and oak influence, should mature nicely

May 31, 2013 - Time to drink the '06s and they are showing beautifully. Popped and aerated into the glass. It is delicious right off the bat. The nose is subtle but inviting. Juicy fruit up front, peppery on the back end and so smooth and elegant. Finish is long and lush with earthy undertones. Everything we love in a fine pinot. We agree with the drinking window, I wouldn't push this past 2014.
