March 30, 2012 - Brilliant wine. It's got some of the Cayuse funk going on with the nose, but that doesn't translate onto the palate, which in my book is a very good thing. I've had far too many wines that smell great, but taste terrible, and this is not one of them. Tons of fruit left, with a bit of bacon fat and silky tannin structure. I can't think of a better syrah for less than $30. It just doesn't exist.
