October 28, 2014 - Chicago Wine Flock...Hezi's Late 90s Trip Around the World (Hezi's - HP,IL): Tasted double blind. Seemed very much like old Pinot Noir to me, with lots of earth and mature red cherry aromas and flavors, all nicely textured. This would have been my WOTN but I don't think it was made under pristine conditions, coming across as slightly murky in both color and finish.

October 28, 2014 - Tasted blind in a tasting of wines around the world. Pinot nose/Burgundian, lasting on the palate, earth, dirt, dirty color, older as I thought 30 years (close). What a treat.

Translucent red with pink meniscus. Limited tertiary development, and palate offers a very simple pinot, shortish finish and tart red fruit. Cinderella this isn't.
