March 17, 2012 - Decanted 2 hours. Deep color with a bit of bricking. Glorious ripe nose of smoky, dark cherries and savory herbs. Layers of sweet, ripe fruit flavors are viscous, fresh, soft and complex. This is fat, opulent and at its peak right now. Delicious! Now-2013.

December 12, 2010 - Decanted about an hour. Deep and dark with some brick dust on the edge. Decidedly earthy/herbaceous aromas with some muddled black fruit and rusty iron. Sweet, ripe, open-knit fruit is the first flavor impression leading to baked cherry and black plums along with the herbaceous streak now in a supporting role. Soft and fleshy with just enough acidity to carry the tune. Very enjoyable. Drink soon.

March 4, 2010 - Cloudy color, didn't have time to set up the bottle. Muted bouquet. Short and uninteresting finish. Last bottle.

January 25, 2010 - One hour decant. Color very dark. Legs thick and slow. Nose was wild mushrooms, cola, and Hubba Bubba bubblegum. Palate was confusing: the fruit was very, very sweet (almost fruit-bomb sweet), but the tannins were unresolved and had a green tinge to them. Moreover, neither of these elements had come together: the fruit stood alone in one part of the mouth, the tannins hung out in another corner, like bad neighbors. Finally, there wasn't any acidity to bridge this unharmonious gap. The finish is clipped and lacks complexity.
Never tried this bottle when it was younger, so I don't know if all this is a result of old age, or just mediocre bottle.
