October 25, 2012 - A well-made, balanced wine. None of the nasty jammy extract of California or Aussie Syrah, but a pureness of fruit and earth, very reminiscent of northern Rhone. This has a long finish, a complex, typical syrah nose of black pepper, violet, and dark fruits. Very pleasant surprise.
