  March 12, 2014 - Dark, inky purple color. End of cork saturated and coated with sediment. Nose of cherry, cedar and a little funk. Plum, sour cherry, blueberry and a slight vegetal note on the palate.
  Juicy mouthfeel with coarse tannins on the medium finish. Used a filtered pour spout due to sediment in bottle. I wouldn't seek this out but if it was in front of me, I might buy it again.

  October 7, 2012 - VERY dark. Earth and cherry on the nose. Tart on the entry, not much on the finish. Tastes almost "unripe". Was fine with some cheese, but not a stand alone drinker. From research, it definitely has the correct profile for the varietal.

  August 10, 2012 - I don't think I've ever had Lagrein, but I'll have to check out a few more. This one was very earthy, almost rustic. It starts with a hint of mulch and dark fruit. At first I thought it might have been a bad cork, but I think that's just the way it is, not off-putting. Its a fairly big wine, dark fruit not real complex, but interesting. Better with food than alone.
