September 1, 2012 - It is still a quite fun wine. Full bodied and has not thinned. Tastes like liquid golden raisins. Enough acid to keep it from being flabby.

December 29, 2008 - lovely and port like without the alcohol hit. cherry, plum, brown sugar, vanilla. Agree this isn't at all cloying or syrupy, it has enough acid to keep the flavors crisp. Even at this date it's not faded. no pressure to drink this in a hurry. We sampled it over 2 nights (wonderful with some special chocolates my wife had horded) and it didn't fade at all overnight.

June 25, 2003 - This wine is amazing. It is a brilliant red-purple that shines like a fine ruby. It has the most exotic, heady and room-filling nose I have ever encountered in a dessert wine -- it jumps out of the glass, smelling like ripe cherries; and it tastes like cherries, too. This is a late-harvest (!!) wine having 27% residual sugar. It is so fruity, you ponder what it would be like spooned on top of vanilla ice cream; but it isn't really that syrupy or cloying, it is only luscious, and delicious
