May 9, 2012 - Over the hill, my fault as waited too long

July 12, 2009 - {cork, 8.0%, AP46 02} Still shows flashes of green, though shot through with gold. Subdued nose, developed, candy-apple aromas. The palate is soft, still with seductive slightly tangy apple fruit flavours, but well developed. Off-dryish, but not too sweet for the acid, which is really nearing the point of exhaustion. Light-bodied; very drinkable, and probably at its peak now.

July 16, 2008 - AP 46 02 {cork, 8.0%} Mid yellow, but still with a flash of green. Custard-apples and developed citric aromas, ripe, but starting to age a little now. The sweetness on the palate really does disguise the acidity, although the wine falls a fair way short of laser-like sharpness of clarity. Rather, it’s an enjoyably aging extra-ripe Kabinett, very drinkable, and with enough palate coverage to lay claims to interest. Suspect it might be around its peak now.

July 28, 2007 - Light gold. Plenty of Mosel slate on the nose. Lovely tropical fruits on the palate with a long mouthwatering finish featuring creamy slate -- classic Mosel. Can't understand others' comments about inadequate acidity. Although mellowing after six years, the acidity seems to be what one would expect of a 2001 German. Plenty of potential for developing complexity, with all of the stuffing of the vintage (OK maybe this is Spatlese-like), but a delightful summer sipper that is hard to resist at the moment.
