  September 4, 2014 - Dark ruby, almost black color. A bit flawed by too much brettanomyces but when it is gone, showes a very dark , spicy fruit wih plus acidity. Rustic but steely back bone. Tastes better the second night. medium finish. Lots of sediment, don't shake the bottle!

  March 1, 2014 - Still fresh and bright. Drinking well now. Medium plus weight with mixed red and black fruits and sour cherry on the finish. Better than a few years ago when the sour cherry was a bit too much. More balanced and has been cellared at 58 degrees past 4 years. Daily drinker, not complex.

  November 18, 2012 - Past it's prime. The same bottle of this was an 85 last year, it's a 75 now. I really expected this to last a bit longer. Incidentally, I had picked up a case of the 2005 on clearance about a year ago for $65 as the 2006 was drinking great then -- and regretted it after the first bottle. This now tastes like that 2005 more than the 2006. Anyways, it drank better on the second night ( after having half and being re-corked the first night )
