March 6, 2019 - Nicely rounded tannins with some herbal spice notes. Cherry flavors. Has aged well but my only real issue was that the finish was not very long but still drinking beautifully. Good balance.

December 23, 2018 - Our 3L bottle had aged beautifully. Soft round tennis with plenty of fruit left. Vibrant black cherry and currant with notes of oak and pepper. Very nice.

June 19, 2016 - Jammy blackberry with lots of fruit up front. Moderate to long finish with great sweet cedar and smooth tannins. Only 1 bottle left of the case we bought 9 years ago. Some say 2016 is the limit. I'd think it would good for a few more. Still deal and inky. Can't see through it in sunlight. Heavy garnet rim. No sediment when poured. Awesome bottle today with grilled steaks looking out across the Wasatch from the deck.

February 28, 2016 - This was a 2 day wine. When 1st opened was very funky, musty and green, put it on the counter for 24 hours. , Re-tried, all that was gone. Notes of chocolate, green pepper, cedar and sweet tobacco. Fairly long finish with flavors of red and black fruit, vanilla. Still a lot of tannin and a little hot.

December 24, 2014 - Wonderful '05 Napa blend. Didn't hit as high as the others at the tasting (05 Chappellet Signature, 05 Silver Oak Napa) but deserved to be there for sure.
