March 22, 2023 - What a fantastic showing. Loads of bright red fruit, crushed stone/concrete (reminds me of Cotes du Rhone), orange peel (astringency), pepper, and cedar. Not much of meaty/saline notes but not a problem as there's plenty more going on.

November 8, 2020 - Great nose. Primarily sweeter red fruit on the palate - body and complexity didn't match the nose.

May 7, 2019 - Well made, WOtN vs 2001 Pasterick Syrah (2) and a 2007 Venge Gladys Syrah (3). Still showing some real nice black fruit flavors, getting into that tertiary realm, aromas and flavors of fermented tobacco, dried herbs, crushed rock, and earth. Nicely balanced, still has that freshness, but has shed the baby fat. I think this would improve a bit more for another few years.

December 15, 2016 - Decanted 1 hour. Nice Old World style Syrah. This wine brings me back to what originally attracted us to Waters. Bold red fruit with hints of pepper and spice. Paired well with baked herb roast. Drinking very well right now.

May 2, 2014 - Nice evolved nose, however it had a highlighted bitter oak aftertaste
