July 19, 2020 - A pinot noir not for the faint of heart or the purist. Nevertheless, this is delicious with dark fruit, and a
savory component which adds some interest. It is very rich and deep with none of that candied cherry found in many CA pinots. Lacks a well defined mineral component or true sense of place.

September 10, 2016 - Bit hot up front then opens up to Cherri an strawberries. Finishes with a bit of chocolate.

June 26, 2016 - Thick jammy strawberries with a smooth earthy finish.

April 24, 2016 - Red cherry, plum, and raspberry fruit with an abundance of cinnamon spice notes throughout. Nice acidity and long finish, drinking very well right now.

(Black Kite Kites Rest Pinot Noir) #1; COLOR-medium/dark; NOSE-very floral; some violet action; a little tight; subtle raspberry and strawberry; hint of oak; PALATE-bigger wine; has the delicious flavor; some oak makes it a little sweeter, smoother and more approachable; can't deny the gorgeous licorice and Root Beer components in the 3rd quarter; deep black raspberry jam sauce becomes evident; a little over-oaked; a hair of Egg Nog that some Old World might not like; I like this wine; GV-90+

(Black Kite Pinot Noir Kite's Rest) Bright cherry red color; big cherry and black cherry nose; baked cherry pie, berry, and blueberry syrup palate; medium finish (blend of 3 vineyards)
