December 9, 2015 - One of several Thanksgiving rhone blends that did not wow. Disappointed

November 26, 2014 - Added quite a bit of weight with some more time in the bottle, really nice now with lots of smoked bacon. Much younger than the Clos de Papes of the same age next to it

August 17, 2014 - Good, fairly new world style Grenache/CdP blend. Quite nice, but the alcohol is slightly too dominating for me. Good wine though...

January 26, 2014 - I was hoping for some non-parkerized, Amador County does nicely styled southern Rhine. Garnet red in the glass, somewhat plummy with less cherry. Tastes like a big CD-R, with not too much subtlety. Nice herbs component, but just too rich and heavy. Lots of tannins left, so this might evolve over the next few years. I still think California can produce wines as good as cdp before the Parker era, but it's not this one even on freezing nights. Comparable: Chris Davis.

June 16, 2013 - Wow. This is delicious. Explosion of black fruit, tobacco, spices but also admirable balance and complexity on the finish.
