November 25, 2010 - Very good but not quite there

June 14, 2009 - Served at a party we attended this afternoon. Perfumed nose, almost like a department store cosmetic counter, with floral, strawberry and spice. Very pretty. Unfortunately, downhill from there. Soft spices mixed with dry fruit and about a 1/2 second finish. Mediocre, but great nose.

March 31, 2009 - This is a great fruit-forward pinot that will not impress you with its complexity but it is just a really good everyday wine. But it does bring more to the table than jug wine- it has some character and depth of flavor that we really enjoyed.

February 14, 2009 - Full disclosure -- I am not usually a pinot drinker because I either find them thin and sour or okay and unimpressive. Probably has to do with the fact I won't pay much for a pinot b/c I rarely have a good one, which means I'm drinking the not so good ones -- vicious cycle. This one fell into the okay and a little impressive category. Light ruby color. Lots of strawberry flavor without discernable oak. No sour notes. Still trying to figure out what food would make this wine really shine.

January 29, 2009 - medium ruby color. clear of haze or cloudiness
low intensity nose with dried cherries, white pepper, clove, and a hint of strawberry. Alcohol coming out a bit too much for me here... possibly a bit tight and needs some decant time.
the palate beats the nose any day! sweet red fruit on the initial attack. strawberry carrying through to the mid palate. Also some red jolly rancher and nice floral aspects.
Light, soft mouthfeel until the acidity kicks in. nice!
not much in the way of tannins
    medium to long finish!

nice fruit forward CA pinot. Would buy again in the $15 price range. Wish it had more of a nose and a bit less alcohol though
