February 15, 2020 - Color garnet with clear meniscus, hint of orange color. Nose dusty, fruit very faded, leather, aromatic spice. Soft tannins, smooth finish, past its prime but still enjoyable.

March 5, 2018 - medium red with brick-orange rim - complex nose of tobacco (more than I've ever had in an old Bordeaux), dried cherries, roses, and black tea - beautifully smooth mouth with sweet Sangiovese fruit, moderate tannins and great acid balance - 10 second finish - this is all that I would want from a mature Brunello - intriguing by itself and perfect with food (grilled pork) - doubt much further improvement with time, but no reason to suspect it won't hold at this level for many more years

July 9, 2017 - Youthful, fresh, almost effervescent, but with deep complex substance - one of my favorite brunellos for sure. And this is after 45 min of airation. Great wine!

December 26, 2016 - worried it was too old, but - non! Assertive acidity matched with unctuous grilled prime rib. Gorgeous nose, not especially advanced but good solid evolved Brunello. Tannins WELL integrated. We drank it too fast, feeling it flesh out after 1.5 hours.

August 25, 2016 - 5th of 12. Red brown. Mature, smooth with earthy fruit and leather. Medium bodied good balance and reasonable length. Very pleasant. Drunk with spaghetti carbonara and was an excellent match particularly complimenting the pancetta. 4/5
