June 2, 2009 - Very fruit-forward Bordeaux blend, new world goodness

April 8, 2009 - Okay to middling SA red - the nose is quite soft and plummy and offers up soft friut and a bit of damp earth. In the mouth this lacks a little bit of focus, but its not a bad wine - pretty decent above-avergae quaffing wine. The softness of the fruit leads me to think that this wine doesn't have a long life ahead of it. Okay, but lacks a bit of clarity on the palate.

March 10, 2009 - Beautiful bouquet -- hits the nose, almost a shame to drink the wine, just sniff it. Dark red. This wine is mostly merlot (51%) and the balance Cabernet Sauvignon. It is very fruit forward and the tanins are a bit too prominent for my taste. At 14% alcohol it is not a "fruit bomb" but the fruit is more prominent than a more classic left bank bordeaux style. the wine is nicely made, it is just not to my taste.
