March 24, 2012 - From old notes. One of my favorite Merlots. Deep red with long legs and nice complex nose. It was smooth yet long lasting. Decanted for 30 minutes before starting.

October 23, 2011 - Ruby red medium bodied with nice candied cherry plum and spice. Some nuances of leather and tobacco round off the smooth finish. Nice expression from Washington

October 20, 2009 - A very heavy Merlot and excellent at its price point. Would definitely buy again. Cherry, toasted wood, some vanilla, and an aftertaste of earth seem to stick out. Great everyday drinker. It is not an award winner in my book but is made and priced right for any standard occasion. Drank with some hearty Italian food and it paired great.

April 27, 2009 - Ruby-red. Strong nose of vanilla, plum and cherry with a hint of spice. Powerful flavor, tasty, showing cherry, white pepper, cassis, plum, and vanilla. Cedary tannins on the finish, with a fairly creamy texture to the forepalate. Interesting. Balance is good, finish is long.

    Excellent Merlot for the money.

December 10, 2008 - No score; tasted quickly without a notebook to track into. Lots of fruit on the nose, cherry and red berries. Similar mouth, rich and full-bodied. Just a touch of pipe tobacco underneath it all, to add a little complexity. This is, if anything, richer than the 2005 (which I like a great deal). Recommended!
