June 4, 2016 - A strong candidate for wine of the evening at a tasting of 18 wines contributed by experienced wine drinkers. Amazingly bright, dark, and vigorous for a 19 year old wine. No oxidation or loss of color or fruit. Superbly caressing texture and integration. Excellent red and black cherry fruit. Fully justifies its street price of around $50 for one of the best wines Artadi makes. None of the sour dill taste that mars some Rioja wines. Could have kept this for at least another 5 years.
