It really has payed to let one of these sit around for six months or so. All flowers and elegance here, fruity but lovely acidity. Wonderful nose that begs to be contemplated. If they grew syrah in the Cotes de Nuits it would taste like this.

June 25, 2008 - A dull, cloudy brick hue in the glass, this wine has sweet aromas of candied strawberry, black pepper, daikon leaf and rubber. On the palate it is light bodied with a tremendous sourness (not acidity) and flavors of iron, herbs, and a bitter finish. Over all I am disappointed with this wine since it is thin, disjointed, and lacking any fruit characteristics. Usually I enjoy the unpredictable, lively quality of natural wine but it can not be an excuse for bad wine making.
