highly expressive nose.
Tart red fruit throughout, beautiful aged leather note, plenty of earthy notes, but none of the decaying or wet leaves that are often present in a wine of this age, tomato (not stewed), real savory umami profile on the mid palate and into the finish. Plenty of acidity and still has some of that tannic grip on the back end.1 person found this helpful Comment -

September 13, 2009 - This is everything mature Brunello should be. Lots of bright fruit, good acid and firm, grippy tannins. Very nice.
